About Artist:
Most of Carol's work depicts aspects of the secret and sacred Tingari Cycle, a spiritual journey that incorporates story, song and ceremony. These are stories of the Tingari women who traveled vast stretches of the country performing rituals, which in turn brought into being the land formations of particular sites. The telling of women's ceremonial stories relate to the natural environment and land formations, rock holes containing water and where bush foods and medicines can be found.
