| This is Kathleen's depiction of "Anwekety" or "Bush Plum". The Bush Plum is a small black berry which grows on the Conkerberry bush after good rains. The berries are collected by the Anmatyerre women and are an important food source for the Anmatyerre people. This painting represents the changing seasonal colours of the plant and it's fruit. Kathleen creates her works through building up textured layers of interlacing dots. |
