Unheard of discounts on some of the biggest names in aboriginal art!
Fred Torres of DACOU Gallery has instructed Kate Owen Gallery to clear all stock. This is an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a major piece by the most well-known and collectible artists from the Utopia region. If you are interested in any of the pieces, please indicate your interest quickly by telephone or email to ensure you don't miss out.
DACOU is the acronym for Dreaming Art Centre Of Utopia, and was founded by Fred Torres in 1993. Since its inception DACOU has become firmly entrenched in the art world and is recognised as a leading supplier of quality Utopian art.
DACOU specialises in art from the Utopia region, located 270kms north- east of Alice Springs. The Utopia area is not only an area of great artistic importance but is a second home to Fred, who regularly sets up workshops in Utopia or Alice Springs. The objective of these workshops is not only to collect quality pieces of art, but to spend time with the artists who are also members of his family. These include Barbara Weir (Fredís mother), Minnie Pwerle (Fred's grandmother), Gloria Petyarre (Fred's auntie) plus many others.
