Roseanne Napaltjarri

DOB: c1978
LANGUAGE: Pintupi
COMMUNITY: Kintore, NT

Roseanne is the daughter of highly acclaimed artist George Hairbrush Tjungurrayi. Her homeland is Wilkinkarra, the vast salt lake also known as Lake Mackay, which straddles the Western Australia and Northern Territory border, about 550 km west-northwest of Alice Springs. The closest community is Walungurru (Kintore), which Roseanne calls home when she is not in Alice Springs.

Roseanne depicts Women's Dreaming - she narrates the stories of her Ancestors who travelled vast stretches of the Country performing rituals, which in turn brought into being the land formations of particular sites.
