The Pintupi Nine: Tradition and Legacy
Join us as we celebrate the remarkable Pintupi Nine, a group of artists whose powerful works have become some of the most iconic in contemporary Indigenous Australian art. Emerging from the Gibson Desert in 1984 after living a nomadic life, their paintings vividly reflect the sacred Dreamtime stories and landscapes of their homeland.
Featuring works by the Tjapaltjarri brothers, Walala, Warlimpirrnga, Thomas, and their sister, Yukultji Napangati, this exhibition honours their legacy and the transformation from traditional life to global art acclaim. With a strong presence in international collections, particularly in the U.S. their art continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
To coincide with the exhibition, we've created a new article exploring the incredible story of the Pintupi Nine in more detail. Read it Here
