Gallery Opening

We opened on Thursday 22 February 2007 in Sydney at 680 Darling Street, Rozelle.

We are located on Darling Street one shop west from its intersection with Victoria Road.

We are a friendly, informative gallery, keen to help art lovers - from first-time-just-thinking-about-it buyers to committed collectors.

Kate's studio is above the ground floor gallery and adds an interesting dimension to the gallery... here there are works in progress and all the paraphernalia of a working studio.

The Studio was also once part of an infamous gambling den. With plush velvet hangings, potted palms, gilt furniture etc. It was a strongly guarded hideaway for some of Sydney's most influential people - as well as some not quite so well heeled - but all patrons had to be identified to get past a rigorous door guard.

The studio still has a full sized bar and heavy duty steel doors with sliding locks and padlocks - to keep the police out?

DO YOU HAVE ANY STORIES TO TELL OF THE GAMBLING DEN DAYS? PLEASE TELL!

The opening exhibition will be of Kate's 'Outback' and 'Grasslands' series, but will also feature a mix of interesting exhibitions, showcasing both Australian and Overseas Artists. Kate's own work will be on show throughout the year in the print room (behind the main gallery) and in the upstairs studio.

WE are always interested in expressions of interest from Curators, Art Dealers and Artists so we can keep our gallery stimulating. Please contact Kate via email (click on contact Kate) or call 0400 508 050 for further information.
